Roles & Responsibilities :
Handle day-to-day import and export operations
Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
Ensure timely customs clearance of shipments
Verify and manage import/export documents such as invoices, packing lists, Bills of Entry,shipping bills, COO, etc.
Support classification, duty benefits, FTA documentation, and customs compliance activities
Coordinate with internal teams such as purchasing, planning, warehouse, finance, and plants for shipment clearances
Monitor shipment status and ensure timely delivery to plants/customers
Follow up on customs queries, duty payments, amendments, and refund cases
Track demurrage, detention, and clearance delays and support resolution
Maintain records related to EXIM compliance and audits
Support implementation of process improvements and operational controls
Prepare periodic MIS reports and KPI updates related to customs and logistics activities
Educational qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Experience :
3–5 years of experience in Import/Export operations and customs clearance
Mandatory/requires Skills :
Good knowledge of customs procedures, DGFT regulations, FTP schemes, and logistics operations
Experience in handling air, sea, courier, and project cargo shipments
Good understanding of import/export documentation and EXIM compliance requirements
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and handle operational follow-ups
independently
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of SAP, MS Excel, and Automation-related systems preferred
English communication mandatory; additional language skills will be an advantage
