DESCRIPTION:
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll join a dedicated team providing world-class scientific expertise and support to customers. As a Field Applications Scientist, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. In this role, you'll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation. Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success. REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters/ Ph.D. - Freshers with research experience in geonomics/ QPCR - any or wet laboratory experience with relevant instrumentation and applications
• Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or related discipline
• Additional relevant certifications a plus
• Demonstrated expertise in field application support, customer training, and technical troubleshooting
• Strong presentation and communication skills for delivering technical content to diverse audiences
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions
• Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence for understanding customer needs
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant scientific software
• Fluency in English required; additional language skills beneficial
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently (60-75% of time)
• Experience with data analysis, experimental design, and method development
• Deep technical knowledge of specific product portfolio and applications
• Understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous learning
