The Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations within a solar module production facility. The role focuses on production planning, quality control, operational efficiency, maintenance, workforce management, and compliance with safety and industry standards to ensure optimal plant performance and timely delivery.


Key Responsibilities
1. Production Management
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to meet output targets.
  • Ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch of solar modules and components.
  • Optimize production workflows to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
2. Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all products comply with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and IEC standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems across production lines.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC teams to address defects and continuous improvement.
3. Equipment & Maintenance
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery including laminators, stringers, and sun simulators.
  • Minimize downtime through effective maintenance planning.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams for equipment upgrades and troubleshooting.
4. Operational Efficiency
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Reduce wastage and improve yield efficiency.
  • Monitor KPIs such as production efficiency, rejection rates, and downtime.
5. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce workplace safety standards aligned with OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training programs.
6. Supply Chain & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for raw materials such as silicon, glass, EVA, and backsheet.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between production and logistics teams.
7. Staff Management
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams, supervisors, and QC staff.
  • Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Conduct training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.
8. Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare and present reports on production performance, costs, and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance requirements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
