Key Responsibilities


  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications
  • Fabricate mechanical components using:
    • Cutting (gas cutting, plasma, shearing)
    • Welding (MIG, TIG, ARC, as applicable)
    • Bending, rolling, and machining operations
  • Perform fit-up, alignment, and assembly of fabricated parts
  • Operate and maintain fabrication equipment and hand tools safely
  • Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Follow safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams
  • Complete fabrication tasks within specified timelines
Experience
  • 3–12 years of experience in mechanical fabrication or industrial manufacturing
  • Experience in heavy fabrication / structural fabrication is an advantage
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and welding techniques
  • Ability to read technical drawings and symbols
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges)
  • Basic understanding of materials, tolerances, and fabrication standards
