About the Role:
- The role is responsible for managing end-to-end import of pest control equipment and chemicals, export of pesticide products manufactured in India to Rentokil countries, and handling CIB (Central Insecticides Board) compliance-related activities. The position ensures timely customs clearance, statutory compliance, documentation accuracy, and smooth coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities :
Import & Export Operations
- Handle end-to-end import of pest control equipment and chemicals, including identification of import requirements and timelines.
- Manage export of pesticide products manufactured in India to other Rentokil group countries.
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents (CHA), freight forwarders, transporters, and vendors for smooth import/export operations.
- Prepare, review, and manage all import/export documentation such as Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, MSDS, insurance documents, and statutory certificates.
- Ensure compliance with Indian customs regulations, DGFT norms, and destination country requirements.
- Arrange and verify IIP-compliant packaging boxes and ensure adherence to export packaging standards.
- Visit customs offices as required to resolve clearance-related issues and support timely release of consignments.
CIB & Regulatory Compliance
- Handle CIB compliance-related activities for pesticide products.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain printed Principle Certificates (PCs) as per regulatory requirements.
- Manage dispatch of Principle Certificates to approximately 170 branches across India.
- Track and monitor delivery status of PCs to branches and ensure timely receipt.
- Maintain accurate records, tracking sheets, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies for any additional CIB-related requirements or audits.
- Support renewals, follow-ups, and documentation related to CIB approvals, as and when required.
Key Result Areas:
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
- Experience in coordinating with CHA, customs authorities, and logistics partners.
- Understanding of CIB compliance and pesticide regulatory requirements (preferred).
- Good documentation, tracking, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Willingness to visit customs offices and external agencies when required.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
Competencies (Skills essential to the role) :
- Knowledge of EXIM procedures, customs clearance, documentation, and coordination with CHA.
- Understanding of CIB requirements, Principle Certificates, and pesticide regulatory processes.
- Strong attention to detail in managing import/export and compliance documents, MIS, and delivery tracking.
- Effective coordination with customs authorities, CHAs, vendors, internal teams, and branches.
- Ability to resolve customs clearance and compliance issues, including on-ground follow-ups.
- End-to-end task ownership with timely closure and minimal supervision.
- Clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- High ethical standards and adherence to statutory and internal policies.
Educational Qualification / Other Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in import/export operations and regulatory compliance.
- Certification or training in Import & Export / Customs / EXIM operations is preferred
- Good verbal & written communications skills.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel or Google sheet is preffered.
