What will you do


As an Oracle Apps DBA, you will be part of the ERP DBA team, providing both Development and Production Application DBA services with a focus on the delivery of 24x7x365 uptime. You will:


  • Design, install, upgrade, administer, patch, clone, and monitor Oracle eBusiness R12 and related Oracle 12c/19c/23ai and Autonomous databases in RAC environments.
  • Maintain and administer Oracle ERP systems.
  • Support automation activities, system/database operations, and resource utilization.
  • Perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Work closely with Oracle development, technical and functional teams, and the server team to maintain a reliable environment.
  • Participate in new implementation projects and prepare pre-implementation plans.
  • Follow change management processes, participate in related meetings, and weekly on-call duties on a rotational basis.
  • Mentor and share technical/domain expertise with peers and team members.
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.

Technical Skills you will use


  • Strong experience (3-6 years) as Oracle Apps DBA.
  • Database design/architecture, database performance tuning (system and application levels).
  • Administration of Oracle eBusiness Suite R12, Oracle 12c/19c/23ai databases, ASM with RAC environments.
  • Applications parallel concurrent processing (PCP), Oracle Application Server, Oracle Forms, DMZ, shared and multi-node application tiers.
  • Oracle applications workflow configuration, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
  • Integration with OTM, SOA, Web Methods, OBIEE, GRC, Demantra, Vertex, Laser.
  • Patch control and database configuration management.
  • Development of stored procedures and database objects.
  • Database security, roles, profiles, and disaster recovery management.
  • Scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible) for scheduling, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Non-production support (installations, upgrades, backup, recovery, refresh, multi-language support).
  • Good understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure tools and basic administration
  • OEM Grid Control 12c/13c monitoring and alerting.
  • WebLogic configuration/administration, Oracle Transportation Management admin/maintenance.
  • Performance tuning and support to developers.
  • Backup/recovery strategy for Oracle eBusiness Suite.
  • Monitoring and alerts for user sessions, processes, table extents, locks for production and non-production.
  • Creating and maintaining database architecture and standards (following Oracle best practices).
  • SOX/PCI compliance processes and escalated technical issue management.
  • Apply data modelling techniques for integration and performance.
