Job description

  • Prepare and develop HVAC system designs including air-conditioning, ventilation, and chilled water systems for commercial, industrial, and metro rail projects.
  • Perform heat load calculations, system selection, and equipment sizing in line with project requirements.
  • Design and size ducting, piping, grilles, diffusers, louvers, dampers, valves, and fittings.
  • Develop concept, preliminary, and detailed design drawings, including layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Coordinate with BIM/modeling teams to ensure accurate implementation of design intent in Revit models and drawings.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and codes such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NBC, SMACNA, NFPA, and project-specific guidelines.
  • Support interdisciplinary coordination with architectural, electrical, plumbing, fire, and civil teams.
  • Review and respond to design comments, RFIs, and technical queries from internal teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Assist in clash resolution and design optimization during coordination stages.
  • Prepare technical specifications, B.o.Qs, and quantity estimates for HVAC systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and client meetings as required.
  • Support site teams during construction, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation stages.
