Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. As a standalone company, the Mobility business will be more focused and agile, creating exciting opportunities for employees to grow, innovate, and help shape the future of mobility. The separation reflects strong confidence in the Mobility team and positions the new company as an employer of choice in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.





• Applicant must have work experience in design, development, and validation of Transmission components (shaft, gears, bearings, washers, enclosures, shift system, etc) and must be able to support incremental product design changes.
• Proven track record in executing costout projects on Transmission components with VAVE and resourcing approach to achieve measurable costout goals.
• Applicant must be proficient with performing analytical design calculations, possesses sound knowledge on virtual validation methods for transmission components.
• Applicant must be proficient with 3D CAD tool Cre-O, GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis.
• Applicant should be able to support defining engineering requirements by understanding customer voice and application.
• The applicant must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross functional team namely engineering, manufacturing, project management, PSM, Service and supply chain."



"• Performs engineering assignments, involving product design, testing and process studies, or research investigations using appropriate tools and techniques. 
• Participates in engineering/design activities and maintains effective communications with team members and global stake holders. Creates and sustains process for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data control for the associated business group. 
• Takes responsibility of transmission components concept generation and selection, detailed analysis, design release, resolving supplier issues, resolving issues observed in validation testing using DFSS skills as appropriate. Additionally, this role will be responsible to drive costout on these components using VAVE, supplier collaboration & resourcing approach.
• Utilizes the engineering process like PROLaunch and DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements and VAVE/ Resourcing/Supplier resiliency projects.
• Leverages Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA) methodologies in product development, utilizes the understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs.
• Performs failure analysis, investigates, and troubleshoots the issues. Coordinates all work of the project scope, and ensures that all objectives (Cost, Quality & On time delivery) are met.
• Ensures internal and external customers’ requirement are understood correctly and met on time, coordinates with other support resources for a timely completion of design activities.
• Participates in IP landscaping on new product development using appropriate techniques such as solution blitz, Design burst and contributes towards design innovation through high quality disclosures and patents."



Qualifications:

Bachelor / Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering
Bachelor with 3+ years or Master with 2+ years of experience in technical engineering organization



Skills:

"• Basic engineering fundamentals understanding & its application in Mechanical design
• Powertrain engineering experience, In-depth knowledge of various truck transmissions, gear & spline cutting, casting, forgings, standard machining etc.
• Hands on experience in Engineering CAD tools & PLM database, In-depth knowledge of FEA & data analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent English communication (oral and written) and presentation skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers. 
•Work & interact with global cross-functional and cross-cultural team. "
