General Summary:
Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join our Wireless Networking Infrastructure team as a senior software engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and debugging of WLAN software solutions on Linux based Wi-Fi Access Point platforms and related areas. This role requires strong analytical and debugging skills, strong design abilities, the capability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and hands-on knowledge of Linux kernel and user space programming.

Required skills:
Good knowledge of Computer Systems Architecture, Operating Systems.
Good knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ARP, DHCP etc.
Good knowledge of 802.11 protocols such as 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be/bn.
Strong C programming skills.
Good understanding and experience of working in Linux Kernel/drivers/RTOS
Good understanding and experience of working with Linux user space programming including IPC, multi-threading, etc.
Familiarity with systems and networking tools such as TRACE32, Wireshark, etc.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Strong design abilities.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good collaborative and interpersonal skills.
One or more of the following will be an added advantage:
Exposure to Qualcomm chipsets and software stacks.
Good understanding of ARM architecture.
Knowledge of other programming languages such as Python, C++, etc.
Familiarity with upstream/open source Linux Wireless components such hostapd/wpasupplicant, cfg80211, nl80211, mac80211, ath drivers, etc.
Familiarity with OpenWRT framework and architecture.
Experience in chip emulation and bring-up.
Experience in Matlab/Octave and Signal processing.
Experience in solving coexistence problems between WLAN and Bluetooth devices.
Experience in optimizing wireless performance.
