The Quality & Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves devel-oping and implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. Role requires exposure to safety engineering exposure to provide functional support on site’s health & safety requirements including regulatory compliance, internal processes in consultation with corporate EHS leader.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and procedures.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer quality issues.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and prepare reports.
• Independently handle supplier quality management, incoming material inspection as well as final inspection & respective documentation.
• Lead implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Train and mentor team members on quality & safety/EHS processes and best prac-tices.
• Support plant’s safety & regulatory requirements & comply with MESH require-ments.
• Manage incident reporting and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, workstation risk assessments, and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production or related field).
• Experience: 5-7 years in quality engineering and/or combined with Safety in manu-facturing or industrial environment (min 3-4 years must be in quality function).
