What’s the role
This position sits within the TRDI (Tech Reporting & Digital Integration) vertical within TAS, SEAM organization but will provide direct support to PT Global Quality Team for implementation through digitalization & simplification to deliver SQI Work scope.
As Quality Data Analyst you will work wide range of data related to maintenance, Supplier, Findings to identify quality gaps and to develop, design, and maintain compelling reports to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making for bridging the gaps and improving overall Quality of Shell Products, services, process etc. You will be collaborating with stakeholders at asset, TAS, Global leads to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
What you’ll be doing
- Work as part of natural team from TAS end in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to identify, prioritize and act to for specific task assigned.
- Analysis of structured/ unstructured data. Support a project with an intent to generate reliable and actionable insights enabled through include data cleanse, data mining, benchmarking, reporting projects.
- Develop/maintain job aids and ways of working documents. Train and onboard new team members as required.
- Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Power Platform tools , with a focus on Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Proven expertise in Power BI for enterprise data visualization, analytics, and integration.
- Solid capability in data transformation using Power Query (M) and building business logic using DAX.
- Experience implementing incremental refresh, optimizing dataset size, and improving report performance.
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, including dimensional and semantic models.
- Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise data sources such as Azure SQL, SharePoint, and Data Lakes (ServiceNow / SAP exposure is an added advantage).
- Hands on experience implementing row level security (RLS) and managing dataset access controls.
- Strong hands-on experience developing Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven) for enterprise use cases.
- Experience optimizing application performance, usability, and scalability.
- Proven ability to integrate Power Apps with data sources such as Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure SQL.
- Hands on experience building and managing Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and business process automation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, and data engineers, and translate business requirements into robust, functional digital solutions.
- Experience supporting Run & Maintain activities for production grade dashboards and Apps.
- The role will also require the individual to ensure the deliverables to ensure correct prioritization of work, troubleshoot & propose technical solutions virtually, co-ordinate discussion with stakeholders conduct risk Assessments, ensure good QA/QC, record keeping, & final job closure.
- Keeping track of initiatives for continuous improvement in terms of FTE savings and business value from delivered projects and ensuring that it progressed, and Asset/ TAS is getting benefitted through those improvement activities.
- Ensure that activities are executed in line with Shell’s policies and standards. (Data protection, HSSE&SP, DEP, AMS, MEC)
What you bring
- University Degree in Mechanical / Electrical /IT/ Instrumentation and other top-level disciplines.
- Required minimum 3-4 years of industrial experience in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals/IT/Fertilizer /Power industry with experience and familiar with the daily operations, preventive & corrective maintenance/IT Skills. A good understanding of the Upstream/C&P/IG business and how it works.
- Strong understanding of Maintenance, Engineering and Facilities domain knowledge/experience and ready to leverage this knowledge for digitalization projects in Shell with these skills.
- Proven experience in developing and managing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools , with a focus on Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate with expertise as listed in above section
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- Data Analysis & Integration - Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Proficient in statistical analysis and data validation techniques.
- Proven expertise in Power BI for enterprise‑scale data visualization, analytics, and system integration, with experience in data transformation using Power Query (M) and building business logic using DAX.. Ability to integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources such as Azure SQL, SharePoint, and Data Lakes along with hands‑on experience implementing row‑level security (RLS) and managing secure dataset access controls.
- Strong hands‑on experience developing Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven) for enterprise use cases, with proven ability to optimize performance and scalability and seamlessly integrate with Dataverse, SharePoint, and Azure SQL.
- Hands on experience building and managing Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and business process automation.
- Performance Tuning- Skills in using Power BI Performance Analyzer and other tools to identify and resolve performance issues. Experience in reducing visual complexity and optimizing visuals for performance
- Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
- Strong Skills in compiling and analyzing data as well as recognizing trends and patterns relating to maintenance workflow and processes with proven analytical background.
