About the team:



It is a transverse team working with different core engineering verticals in Airbus. The USP of this team is working in a multi-functional environment providing digital solutions to engineering problems. The USP of the team is people with Core Engineering domain knowledge complemented by software development skills. The team plays an enabler role in various digitization initiatives across Airbus utilizing the latest technologies and the domain knowledge they have. Some examples of the digital solutions for various Core Engineering departments such as Data driven designs of wiring, automated routing electrical harnesses, Data Analytics based products aimed at reducing physical tests of material specimens. It also involves developing web-based solutions to encapsulate and automate different workflows such as flight test planning etc. In addition to these points, developing tools for Electrical Wiring Harness and Hydraulic Circuit design process improvements. Some of the tools developed; are used in the areas of Aircraft Safety analysis and Engineering Business Data monitoring etc.



M&T is also deeply involved in Agile Scrum and SAFe in developing state of the art digital products for the areas mentioned above.



About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented PLM Data Analyst to join our Methods and Tools team. In this role, you will be responsible for curating, analyzing, and transforming data from our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to drive business insights. You will work extensively with our main data platforms, including Palantir Foundry to build curated data products, dashboards, data insights for our engineering business.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Query and analyze complex PLM datasets related to product structures, bills of materials (BOMs), change and release management, and quality metrics.



  • Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Palantir Foundry (using Contour, Workshop, Quiver) and other analytics tools.



  • Data Integration and Curation: Assist in data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation within Foundry, linking PLM data with other business systems (e.g., ERP, MES).



  • Process Improvement: Identify data quality issues, data gaps, and process bottlenecks within the product lifecycle.



  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and IT teams to understand their data requirements and provide analytical support.




Required Qualifications & Skills:



  • Experience: 6+ years experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in an engineering, or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) focused environment.



  • Data Engineering Skills: Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and ETL/ELT processes.



  • Palantir Foundry Experience: Hands-on experience developing data pipelines and analytics in Foundry. Proficiency with Pipeline Builder, Code Workbooks (Python/SQL), and Contour/Workshop/Quiver is essential.



  • SQL Proficiency: Strong command of SQL for complex queries, joins, and data manipulation.



  • Data Modeling: Strong understanding of data modeling principles and the ability to apply them to create logical and physical data models for PLM data.



  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.



  • PLM Knowledge: Familiarity with core PLM concepts and data (e.g., BOMs, engineering change management, product lifecycle states).



  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.



  • Agile Proficiency: Good to have experience working in Agile frameworks such as SAFe and Scrum.
