What we are looking for in you?

Job Purpose

The role involves independent testing, evaluation, and certification of industrial products such as machinery and measuring instruments against applicable European and international safety standards. The engineer will be responsible for technical assessments, report generation, and client coordination.


Key Responsibilities


1. Product Testing & Evaluation


  • Conduct on-site and off-site evaluation of industrial products for compliance with applicable standards
  • Interpret and apply standard requirements to Equipment Under Test (EUT)
  • Perform construction review and document observations
  • Execute product testing as per defined standards and procedures

2. Technical Analysis & Documentation


  • Review schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions
  • Prepare detailed test plans and test reports
  • Perform preliminary design reviews (PDR)
  • Provide engineering judgments and technical justifications within policy framework

3. Standards & Compliance


  • Work with international standards such as:
    • IEC/EN 60204 (Machinery Electrical Safety)
    • ISO 12100 (Risk Assessment)
    • IEC/EN 61010 (Laboratory Equipment Safety)
    • ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC standards
  • Identify applicable clauses and ensure compliance throughout testing lifecycle

4. Laboratory & Equipment Management


  • Identify and utilize appropriate test equipment
  • Maintain calibration, upkeep, and accreditation requirements of lab instruments
  • Assist in identifying new equipment needs

5. Project Execution & Client Communication


  • Validate project scope and sample applicability
  • Communicate test progress, results, and technical clarifications to clients
  • Coordinate with internal teams including sales and management
  • Provide ongoing technical support to customers

6. Sample Handling & Logistics


  • Follow sample handling procedures (logging, tracking, packaging, shipment)
  • Ensure safe handling and movement of test samples within the facility

7. Continuous Improvement


  • Develop and improve testing procedures
  • Support local office capability development
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required

Required Qualifications


Education


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent

Experience


  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in industrial product testing
  • Exposure to machinery safety and laboratory equipment evaluation

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Machinery Safety
    • Risk Assessment (ISO 12100)
    • Electrical Safety (IEC/EN 60204)
    • Lab Equipment Standards (IEC/EN 61010)
