Engineer II – Implementation Development

Job Summary

The Engineer II – Implementation Development is responsible for supporting the implementation of Accelya’s software solutions into airline customer environments and contributing to the ongoing development of the core product platform to ensure effective integration. This role combines hands-on software engineering with customer-facing implementation work, supporting integration with airline systems such as Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Order & Offer Management, Revenue Accounting, and settlement platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and support software components, APIs and integrations required to deploy Accelya solutions within airline IT environments.
• Support end-to-end airline implementations, including configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
• Work directly with airline technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration, performance and data-related issues.
• Support integration with complex airline ecosystems and third-party systems.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of Accelya products to improve scalability, reliability and ease of implementation.
• Build and evolve APIs, services and middleware components to support airline-specific use cases.
• Identify recurring implementation challenges and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to address them through platform improvements.
• Design and execute unit, integration and system tests for new features and customer-specific enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer working on integration-heavy or implementation-focused solutions.
• Strong programming experience in Java / Java EE, including frameworks such as Spring.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with service-based or distributed architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience delivering technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise or SaaS implementations in customer environments.
• Exposure to airline systems such as PSS, NDC, Order / Offer Management, Revenue Accounting or Settlement.
• Front-end development experience using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
