Job Summary: As an Engineer II in DevOps, you will be instrumental in enhancing our software development and deployment processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability. This role involves close collaboration with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to automate workflows, manage infrastructure, and implement best practices in continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). You will leverage your technical skills to optimize our systems and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Continuous Integration and Delivery: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring smooth and efficient releases. Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and enhancements into existing pipelines. Infrastructure Management: Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization for scalability and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on project goals, timelines, and requirements. Act as a liaison between development and operations teams to foster collaboration and improve workflows. Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar. Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to address and mitigate issues effectively. Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements in all DevOps activities. Collaborate with security teams to implement security measures within the deployment pipeline. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, and configurations. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous learning and improvement. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Experience: • 2-4 years of experience in a DevOps, system administration, or related role. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Preferred Qualifications: • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools. • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
