What we’re looking for:


We are looking for an experienced Oracle APEX software engineer to be part of our Enterprise Platforms function.  You will play a key role in building and supporting Oracle APEX applications that support critical business operations as well as working with key stakeholders and cross functional technology teams around the globe.  The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, along with a keen attention to detail, as well as the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Key Duties


  • Working on our collection of Oracle APEX applications.


  • Collaboratively working with other Enterprise Platforms teams eg Integrations, Messaging etc


  • Mentoring colleagues at every level, and a willingness to be mentored by them


  • Supporting your Tech Lead and Engineering Manager in technical decision-making, solutionizing, and estimations.


  • Pair with members of your team to identify the most optimal solution. Regularly conducting code reviews to ensure high standards of engineering quality in the code that we write.


  • Looking at logs and monitoring metrics and responding to alerts; 


  • Teams are responsible for the availability and reliability of the applications.


Essential Skills & Requirements:


  • 2 - 5 years experience as an Oracle APEX Software Engineer


  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and RESTful Data Services 


  • Very strong SQL and PL/SQL coding experience


  • Proven track record in producing high quality applications on the Oracle APEX platform


  • Strong Design and UI skills


  • A solid grasp of the following:


    • Environment management


    • Version Control


    • Release Management


  • Able to effectively communicate technical concepts to different audiences


  • You will be working with a global team and need to be accommodative of different time-zones as required


  • Excellent written & verbal communication (including business proficiency in spoken and written English), problem solving, analytical and time management skills


  • Enjoy collaborating with teams to solve problems with creative, out-of-the-box thinking


  • Experience in defect tracking tools like JIRA
