ROLE



We are seeking an experienced Earthing & Bonding Engineer to design, analyze, and deliver safe, code‑compliant earthing/grounding and lightning protection systems for substations, transmission lines, industrial plants, data centers, hydro and renewable facilities. The ideal candidate has hands‑on CDEGS experience, strong grounding/lightning calculation skills, and the ability to translate studies into clear drawings and deliverables.




Responsibilities :



  • Deliver earthing & bonding designs with excellent project delivery skills.
  • Prepare earthing layout drawings, details, connection schedules, and lightning protection layouts in AutoCAD/Revit (or similar).
  • Prepare Site Testing Plans, Technical Report, Technical Memo and other required documents.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical and protection teams to integrate grounding/bonding requirements into multidisciplinary designs.
  • Resolve design issues and coordinate effectively with discipline leads.
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate all design aspects with team members.
  • Support site teams with measurements, pre-commissioning checks, and troubleshooting; respond to RFIs, vendor queries, and client comments.
  • Track deliverables, maintain quality records, and meet schedule/budget targets.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations and prepare documentation.





Here's what you'll need
  • BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 4–8 years in earthing, lightning protection, HV interference, and electromagnetic studies.
  • Extensive experience with CDEGS modules (RESAP, HIFREQ, MALZ, FCDIST, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with PSCAD (Fault Current Split Calculation) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in grounding, lightning, EMF/inductive coupling, and transferred potential assessments for proximity assets (pipelines, fences, rails).
  • Detailed design and documentation of high- and low-voltage earthing systems for infrastructure projects (distribution, transmission, generation, transmission lines, industrial plants, data centers, hydro, and renewable facilities).
  • Knowledge of site activities including soil resistivity testing and current injection testing.
  • Familiarity with National Grid, MES, SSEN UK T&D utility standards is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of IEEE 80, IEEE 81, IEEE 998, IEC 62305, IEC 60364, EN/BS/IS standards, and applicable utility guidelines (UK, Europe, Australia, USA, Middle East).
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Bluebeam and ProjectWise preferred but not mandatory.
  • Professional certifications or memberships (e.g., CPEng, IntPE, APEC) preferred but not mandatory.
