YOUR ROLE

As an ECAD Engineer at Aptiv, you will design and validate automotive electronic circuit boards (PCBs) that meet high standards of reliability, quality, and manufacturability. You will work closely with global engineering teams to deliver multilayer and HDI PCB designs for high‑volume automotive products, supporting the full design lifecycle from schematic creation to production release.


YOUR BACKGROUND

· 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in PCB design and layout engineering
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering
· Strong experience in multilayer and HDI PCB layout design and stack‑up definition
· Hands‑on expertise with ECAD tools such as Mentor Graphics / Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, and Valor (DFM)
· Good understanding of digital and analog circuit fundamentals and PCB manufacturing constraints


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, verify, and release multilayer and HDI PCBs with focus on cost, reliability, and high‑volume manufacturing
· Create schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, production documentation, and tooling drawings using ECAD tools
· Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) best practices
· Perform PCB‑level checks including DRC, SIPI, and high‑speed considerations using tools such as HyperLynx
· Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and participate in peer reviews, design reviews, and production support
