The Technical Documentation Specialist will be responsible for writing, publishing and distributing technical documents, including user manuals, workbooks, reference guides, release notes, and interface documents for software applications and hardware. The job duties include but are not limited to maintaining the documents for the organization, changing and updating records to meet company needs, and keeping a database of the documents to track the different versions of reports that are created.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Collaborate and confer with different stakeholders to document subject material and technical specifications
Research, propose and implement customer-specific documentation solutions
Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information
Standardize organizational documentation
Comply with and improve upon document control management processes
Meet all related release and documentation deadlines
Maintain a record of all corrections and revisions to documentation
Monitor user feedback and implement improvements
Initiate improvements in documentation
Display consistent and advanced time-management ability
Manage multiple projects with revolving deadlines
Qualification & Skills:
Academic degree in relevant field or related work experience
Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a similar role and industry
Ability to comprehend, assimilate and document numerous software applications, hardware functionality and software / hardware integration independently
Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex technical data
Advanced understanding of technical writing convention
Excellent writing skills
Advanced documentation layout and formatting skills
