Job description

Documentations


  1. Single point of contact for all the documentation of drawings, security of data’s, drawings & documents (faxes & letters etc) for all the ship repair projects.
  2.  Preparation and forwarding of faxes/letters of refit progresses (area of concerns, inspection reports, legal documents etc) to Customers (Naval headquarters, owner reps etc) as per Naval, customer protocols & Contract copies.
  3. Receipt of all faxes of ship repair department and percolating to all the stake holders for necessary actions, forward the action taken report to Naval headquarters & customers (Commercial & Defence).
  4. Storage of all the soft copies of faxes/letters/ guarantee defects etc in proper folders.
  5. Storage and retrieval of documents (hard copies) as & when required.
  6. Uploading scope of work (DL, Growth of works), control and monitoring of ship repair module and generating work completion certificate (WDC).  
  7. Updating of ship repair projects in the share folders with relevant details.

Statutory compliances 


  1. Co-ordinate with customers, Owner reps, shipping agents, SEZ , SRM for Statutory regulations and compliance requirements including Import general manifest (IGM), Export general manifest (EGM) and port clearance correspondence.

Drawings & Nesting plan


  1. Preparation of as-fitted drawings of various refit ships (Hull & Hull outfitting), steel renewal drawings and Bill of materials. Preparation of nesting plans.
  2. Preparation of machinery equipment foundation drawings and Hull outfitting foundation drawings.
  3. Preparation of tanks fabrication drawings (For Ships and Utility purpose)
  4. Nesting plans (Plates, Ship Names and Draft marks) for Refit Ship’s.
  5. Preparation of detailed quality drawing for creation of infrastructure facility for ship repair department.

Admin support for Conducting of Pre / Post refit trials & ship visits


  1. Coordinating with Customer, OEMs, BD, Admin, QC, Production for undertaking the pre & post -refit trials. Prepare & forward necessary faxes, gate passes, arrange vehicles & provide admin support to Production team at the customer locations, outstations during the pre / post refit trials & ship visits. 
  2. Provide necessary Gate passes, vehicle, admin support to Technical superintendents, Customer reps & Ship Owners during their visit to shipyard.

Digitalisation


  1. Updating & upgradation of Ship Repair modules & digitalization of Ship repair Projects in coordination with productions, IT, QC and other stake holders.
