Job Description:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Require strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to delegate tasks effectively, and drive operational excellence across development and deployment processes.
  • Delegate tasks based on team members’ strengths and project priorities, ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automation of tasks and processes.
  • Employ tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerizing applications and managing them at scale. 
  • Communicate with development teams on how to resolve security and compliance risks identified as a part of CICD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and deployments.
  • Provide support and guidance to the development teams on best practices for DevOps and automation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the DevOps processes.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7-10 years of proven experience leading a team of DevOps Engineers or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:


  • Certification in DevOps or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cribl, Splunk, Open Telemetry, etc.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve incidents effectively.
