About the Role
We are seeking a hands‑on Veeva Vault DevOps Consultant with strong configuration experience across Veeva Vault Regulatory, Clinical, and/or Safety Vaults. The ideal candidate will have solid experience supporting Vault configuration, release management, validation, and environment coordination in a GxP‑regulated Life Sciences environment.
This role will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and Business stakeholders to ensure stable, compliant, and efficient delivery of Vault enhancements, releases, and operational support.
Role Responsibilities
Veeva Vault Configuration & Support
Configure and support Veeva Vault applications (Regulatory, Clinical, or Safety) in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain Vault configuration elements including object models, lifecycles, workflows, permissions, document types, and metadata.
Support configuration changes across multiple Vault environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod).
DevOps & Release Management
Support Vault release management activities, including:
Impact assessments for Veeva releases and internal changes
Deployment planning and execution
Post‑deployment verification and support
Coordinate configuration migrations across environments using approved DevOps practices.
Work closely with QA to ensure validated releases in compliance with GxP standards.
Validation & Compliance (GxP)
Ensure all configuration and deployment activities comply with GxP, validation, and audit requirements.
Support creation and maintenance of validation documentation, including:
Configuration specifications
Impact assessments
Test evidence and traceability
Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as needed.
Operational Support & Issue Resolution
Support Level 2 / Level 3 incidents, defects, and change requests related to Vault configuration and deployments.
Troubleshoot configuration and environment‑related issues in collaboration with Veeva, internal teams, and vendors.
Ensure timely resolution of issues impacting business operations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and Business SMEs to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Support UAT execution and coordinate defect resolution.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders on release readiness, risks, and deployment status.
Documentation & Tools
Maintain accurate documentation for:
Configuration changes
Deployment activities
Validation deliverables
Use Jira, ALM, or equivalent tools for change tracking, defect management, and release coordination.
Why you?
6–9 years of experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry.
3+ years of hands‑on experience configuring Veeva Vault (Regulatory, Clinical, or Safety).
Strong understanding of GxP compliance, validation processes, and release management.
Practical experience supporting multi‑environment Vault deployments.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
Experience using Jira and ALM tools.
Veeva Vault Admin Certification.
Working knowledge of Azure cloud services, Veeva SDK, VQL and custom Page development within Vault.
Experience across multiple Vault domains (Regulatory, Clinical, Safety).
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD concepts in regulated environments.
Familiarity with Vault integrations and downstream system interactions.
Working knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Shell).
Experience supporting Veeva Vault releases and upgrades.
