Could you be the full-time Depot Quality Manager in New Delhi - Badli Depot, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality and project management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and driven teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction by driving safety and quality assurance throughout the lifecycle of our maintenance and overhauling projects for metro train fleets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, Quality teams, Engineering teams, and Procurement), act as the independent voice of the customer, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of managing site Industrial Quality (IQ) activities and leading APSYS (Alstom Production System) improvement plans, but also support customer inspections and ensure proper documentation for project quality deliverables.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Representing quality within the project team and acting as the interface with customer quality and safety teams.

  • Developing and implementing the Project Quality Management Plan (PQMP) in line with contract requirements and Alstom processes.

  • Guiding project teams in understanding and applying quality contributions.

  • Managing and coordinating quality-related activities across all project teams and stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety assessments and technical modification processes.

  • Facilitating problem-solving to reduce costs of non-quality and improve project performance.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • A graduate or post-graduate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, or equivalent engineering background.

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in the rolling stock, manufacturing, or engineering industry in a quality function.

  • Awareness of processes and products delivered in projects.

  • Experience in managing quality tools, problem-solving methodologies, and documentation management.

  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for collaboration with business partners.

  • Process-oriented and customer-focused with strong data-driven decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, ECM) and lean principles.

  • Experience in teams/people management and influencing cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.

  • A qualification in Six Sigma is valued.

  • Knowledge of railway industry maintenance or manufacturing processes would be an asset.

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges and a long-term career free from boring daily routines.

  • Work with new security standards for rail signalling.

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues.

  • Contribute to innovative projects.

  • Utilise our dynamic and flexible working environment.

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning.

  • Progress towards leadership or specialized roles in quality management.

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
