Data Scientist - Service Parts Supply Chain is responsible for managing the execution of Supply Chain data strategies, contributing to the design and construction of complex data structures for optimal data utilization. The role manages the development of reporting and analytics solutions to address intricate business needs, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain operations. The role coordinates with cross-functional teams to pinpoint areas for improvement, devising process enhancement initiatives to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations. The role provides guidance and shares knowledge through assistance or training sessions to bolster supply chain capabilities across the organization. The role creates and structures data analytics tailored to specific supply chain metrics, utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to extract insights.


Job Responsibilities


  • Lead the development and implementation of Supply Chain data strategies, including the design and construction of complex data structures to enable optimal data utilization and analytics scalability.


  • Act as a Supply Chain subject‑matter expert, providing analytical support, domain guidance, and knowledge sharing through hands‑on assistance and structured training to strengthen organizational capabilities.


  • Manage the deployment of tactical, financial, and operational analytics solutions, ensuring effective technical data delivery for projects and successful implementation of data‑driven initiatives.


  • Provide strategic guidance on the use of data and analytics to drive informed decision‑making, collaborating closely with senior management to align supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.


  • Develop, structure, and govern analytics aligned to defined supply chain metrics, applying statistical techniques and data visualization methods to enhance visibility and understanding of supply chain performance.


  • Lead the design and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions that address complex business requirements, supporting decision‑making while improving efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain operations.


  • Partner with IT and data engineering teams to clarify business requirements, review and approve solution designs, and ensure alignment between supply chain needs and IT capabilities.


  • Analyze and resolve moderately complex analytical and operational problems, evaluating relevant factors and applying established processes, methods, and operational policies to identify effective solutions.


  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance across the supply chain.


  • Guide and mentor team members, contributing to talent selection, performance management, compensation processes, career development, and the effective oversight of day‑to‑day operational activities.


Required Skills


Technical Skills


  • Strong domain expertise in advanced analytics techniques such as time‑series analysis, deep learning, or image recognition.


  • Ability to apply statistical techniques to describe data and develop predictive models.


  • Hands‑on experience with:


    • Excel (advanced charts and analysis)


    • Power BI or similar visualization tools


    • Complex database queries (e.g., Oracle SQL) and data extraction / ETL processes


  • Solid understanding of Descriptive Statistics, Variability, Correlation, Probability, Regression, and Normal Distribution.


  • Awareness of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.


  • Computer science skills to write code and collaborate effectively with data engineers.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into simple, robust analytical solutions.


  • Strong data visualization and storytelling capability to communicate insights effectively.


  • Eagerness to learn new tools, techniques, and supply chain domains.


How we work together


We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
