Job description

Who we are looking for

The Managing Director, India Regional Lead provides senior regional leadership for the Finance Data & AI Office (DART) in India. This role partners closely with global and regional leadership to ensure high-quality, consistent service delivery aligned to DART’s two core enterprise services: (1) Providing Certified Data and (2) Enabling Finance Transformation for stakeholders across Finance, Risk, and Treasury.

The role is accountable for driving execution discipline, service delivery excellence, and alignment across the regional portfolio, while ensuring adherence to global strategy, enterprise standards, and governance expectations. Operating within a matrixed organization, the India Regional Lead establishes a strong DART leadership presence in the region, works closely with designated local managers and functional leaders, and acts as a visible role model for Finance transformation—bringing energy, influence, and a proactive leadership approach to mobilize teams, drive momentum, and enable measurable business outcomes.

Why this role is important to us

DART operates as a service-oriented organization. All functional capabilities—including Data Products, Data Governance, Data Solutions, Automation, Analytics, and AI Enablement—are aligned to two core services:

  • Provide Certified Data – delivering trusted, governed, high-quality data products that support enterprise and regulatory needs.
  • Enable Finance Transformation – enabling Finance through modern platforms, analytics, automation, and AI to improve efficiency, insight, and decision-making.

What you will be responsible for

Service Leadership & Internal Client Focus

  • Serve as the senior regional leader responsible for delivery excellence across DART’s core services.
  • Promote a strong service mindset across regional teams, emphasizing quality, reliability, timeliness, and value delivered to internal clients.
  • Ensure clear service ownership, expectations, and success measures are consistently applied across initiatives.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for service delivery issues impacting Finance stakeholders.

Regional Portfolio Accountability & Delivery Management

  • Provide end-to-end oversight of the regional DART portfolio, ensuring initiatives align to defined service objectives and outcomes.
  • Establish a consistent execution and review cadence, including risk, dependency, and issue management.
  • Identify cross-cutting risks, interdependencies, and capacity constraints, coordinating mitigation plans with functional leaders.

Strategy, Governance & Operating Model Alignment

  • Support implementation of the global Finance Data & AI strategy through a service-based delivery model.
  • Ensure regional delivery adheres to enterprise standards for data quality, governance, controls, and regulatory readiness.
  • Promote scalable, reusable solutions within established governance and risk frameworks.

Leadership Presence, Culture & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish a strong leadership presence for DART in India through active engagement and partnership.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Balance agility and innovation with appropriate risk management and controls.

Partnership with Local Management

  • Work closely with designated local managers, respecting established people and HR accountability structures.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and escalation support without assuming direct line management authority.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Build strong partnerships with Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Technology stakeholders.
  • Represent DART India in regional and global leadership and governance forums.

Measures of Success

  • Consistent, high-quality delivery of certified data and Finance transformation services.
  • Strong service delivery discipline, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated adherence to governance, quality, and control standards.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant senior leadership experience in a complex, global, matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading large-scale Finance transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience with service-oriented delivery models or execution portfolios.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise data management, regulatory data expectations (e.g., BCBS 239), and control-driven environments.
  • Exposure to modern data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment.

Additional Requirement

This role operates through influence, service stewardship, and alignment and does not independently exercise employment authority outside formal reporting lines.
