Country Tech Lead — Leasing Technology
About JLL Technologies
JLL Technologies is a specialized group within JLL. We deliver unparalleled digital advisory, implementation, and services solutions to organizations globally. We provide best-in-class technologies to bring digital ambitions to life aligning technology, people and processes. Our goal is to leverage technology to increase the value and liquidity of the world's buildings, while enhancing the productivity and the happiness of those that occupy them.
The Leasing Technology team is evolving from a centralised regional model to a country pod-based structure. This shift places technology investment and delivery capability directly alongside the business in JLL's highest-revenue markets. The Country Tech Lead role is at the heart of this transformation.
What this job involves
The Country Tech Lead is not your traditional Product Manager role — and that is precisely what makes it compelling. In a world where AI is rapidly reshaping how technology gets built, the boundaries between product, design, engineering, and testing are blurring. Country Tech Leads at JLL are at the forefront of that shift. Armed with AI-assisted tooling, you will prototype ideas that would once have required a designer, build proofs of concept that would once have needed an engineer, and validate quality through automated scripts that would once have demanded a dedicated QA specialist. The result is a role with far greater ownership, far greater creative range, and far greater impact than a conventional product management position — because you are not just defining what gets built, you are actively helping to build it.
As Country Tech Lead, you will be the single point of accountability between the leasing business in your country and the technology team. You will be collocated with the country leasing leadership, embedded in their day-to-day, and responsible for ensuring technology delivers real business value — quickly, iteratively, and with a bias toward AI-native solutions. In this role, you will help us outpace the market through data and AI. This means moving beyond traditional application development toward building AI agents and agentic workflows that actively assist brokers, automate repetitive tasks, and surface intelligence at the point of decision.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Owning the country tech priorities end-to-end — from requirements gathering with country leasing leadership through to delivery, adoption, and business outcome tracking
Acting as the primary interface between the country leasing business and the broader technology team — translating business priorities into well-defined product initiatives and ensuring two-way communication is clear and consistent
Leveraging AI tooling to do more with less — including using AI-assisted design tools for UX prototyping, AI coding assistants for lightweight development and proof-of-concept builds, and automated test script generation for quality assurance
Operating with an agile mindset — prioritising speed, rapid iteration, and continuous learning over rigid process. Structuring work for fast feedback loops and empowering the team to make decisions quickly without unnecessary overhead
Owning change management and enablement within the country — including training delivery, user communications, and adoption tracking for every feature shipped. Tapping on regional resources where deem necessary.
Prioritising ruthlessly within pod capacity — making transparent trade-off decisions and aligning country business stakeholders around what the pod will and will not work on in a given period
Collaborating actively with the Regional Tech Platform Team – ensuring country-level solutions are built with scalability in mind and engaging platform product lead early when pod-built capabilities have potential for broader regional adoption
Operating within the guardrails established by Global Leasing Technology Strategy - ensuring solutions are scalable, architecturally sound, aligned with the global leasing platform and product strategy, and built on the approved enterprise technology stack
Chairing the monthly Country Tech Governance forum — working closely with country leasing leadership and regional technology leadership to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment between business priorities and technology delivery
Surfacing country-level insights and patterns to the broader Leasing Technology team — contributing to the cross-pod knowledge base and global/ regional product strategy
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is energised by the this operating model — a small team, genuine ownership, real business proximity, and the freedom to move fast.
What we are looking for:
Fluency in both the local country language and English — essential for building trust with country leasing leadership and communicating effectively across a global technology team
>8+ years of experience in product management, digital delivery, or a closely adjacent role — with a track record of shipping products or features that users adopt and value
Demonstrated ability to work directly with senior business stakeholders — translating complex business needs into clear product decisions and managing expectations with confidence
Comfort operating across the full delivery lifecycle — including requirements, design, prototyping, testing, and change management — without relying on separate specialists for each stage
Strong agile mindset with the ability to structure and run delivery in a small, fast-moving team — iterating quickly, learning from feedback, and adapting priorities without losing momentum
Demonstrated experience as a leading adopter of AI tools — actively using AI-assisted design, prototyping, coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Lovable etc.), and automated testing tools in your day-to-day work. We are looking for someone already using these tools, not someone intending to learn them
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to build trust with country leasing leadership, run effective workshops, and present product decisions clearly to executive audiences
Ability to operate with ambiguity and make good decisions with incomplete information — this role requires judgment, not just process
Familiarity with data-driven product management — defining success metrics, tracking outcomes, and adjusting roadmap priorities based on evidence Hands-on, demonstrated experience with AI-assisted tools — including coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Lovable), no-code/low-code prototyping tools, and automated testing frameworks. This is not optional; we are looking for someone who is already using these tools, not someone who intends to learn them
Advantageous but not essential:
Experience in commercial real estate, leasing, or a related industry — or genuine interest in building that knowledge quickly
Exposure to leasing technology platforms or similar CRM-integrated tools
Experience working in a global organisation with cross-regional stakeholders and governance structures
What you can expect from us
