Country Manager Maker Lab is continuing to strengthen our growing presence in India.
As our business continues to grow and reach new heights, we are looking for a highly driven Country Manager to lead our next phase of aggressive growth and operational development across India.
You’ll be at the forefront of managing the overall operations for the India market, responsible for driving revenue growth, setting local strategy, managing P&L (profit and loss), and building local teams.
You’ll have the trust and empowerment of the management team to move the needle and scale our presence.
Role: Develop and execute a country-specific business plan to achieve ambitious sales, profitability, and market-share targets in India.
Identify and secure new business opportunities and strategic partnerships that align with the company's global vision and local market needs.
Proactively increase market share and expand on existing markets, leveraging a deep, implicit understanding of the company's USP to promote and cross-sell services.
Develop business goals and objectives that focus explicitly on growth and prosperity for the India market.
Own and manage the full Profit & Loss (P&L) for the India operations.
Oversee day-to-day business operations, including comprehensive budget planning, financial forecasting, and effective resource allocation.
Oversee fiscal management processes (internally and externally) with a strong focus on driving results while building essential relationships.
Lead monthly business reviews, forecasting, priority setting, and other leadership engagements to ensure the business is tracking against strategic goals.
Drive and own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation, nurturing opportunities from new and warm leads.
Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders and the new business team to develop and implement market-entry and sales strategies to achieve aggressive revenue goals.
Develop compelling proposals and pitch materials, including project managing pitch teams, developing proposal content and case studies, and presenting credentials to senior decision-makers.
Ensure strict compliance with all local laws, tax regulations, and labour policies.
Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with key clients and partners.
Analyse local market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour, providing regular, concise, and actionable reports to the global head office.
Embrace client and market intelligence, along with the practical interpretation and application of data, to refine targeting and improve conversion rates in real time.
Drive new business strategies and nurture opportunities from new and warm leads.
Drive and own new business opportunities while expanding on existing markets and proactively increasing market share.
Work closely with the new business team to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
You: Minimum of 15+ years in the industry, 7+ years in a new business role in an advertising, creative, digital or marketing agency.
Driven by commercial targets and achieving success in a high-growth environment.
Relationships with senior decision-makers in technology, FMCG, financial services or relevant industries are essential.
Experience managing a full-funnel sales cycle is a must.
Experience within advertising agencies is a must.
Experience working in other APAC markets, and a global outlook is important.
Able to demonstrate leadership and decisiveness with limited oversight and easily navigate various levels, roles and personality types.
Strong communicator with demonstrated success in handling and communicating complex or sensitive business issues to senior management.
Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development through strong analytical and financial acumen with an ability to think “end-to-end”.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Proven experience with creating high-level presentations for a broad range of audiences.
A positive individual who can motivate and inspire.
High tolerance and appreciation towards ambiguity and change.
