The Role

        Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Country Manager for India to lead the company’s next phase of growth in one of the world’s most dynamic gaming markets.


        Reporting directly to the Group CEO and the Board, the Country Manager will have full responsibility for the India business, including P&L ownership, strategy, operations, revenue growth, partnerships, and team leadership.


        This is a core leadership role responsible for scaling the company into one of India’s leading gaming and youth entertainment platforms while building sustainable revenue streams across media, IP, events, and brand partnerships.


        The successful candidate will combine strategic vision, operational leadership, deep understanding of digital youth culture, and strong commercial instincts, with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams.


Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
  • Execute the long-term growth strategy for the India business, aligned with global company objectives and board priorities.
  • Identify and develop new gaming, media, and entertainment IP opportunities targeting India’s Gen Z and millennial audiences.
  • Lead the development and expansion of the company’s gaming ecosystem, including new IP development and a complementary gaming marketing agency.
P&L Ownership & Commercial Growth
  • Hold full P&L responsibility for the India business, including revenue growth, profitability, and EBITDA performance.
  • Build and scale multiple revenue streams, including:
    • Brand partnerships and sponsorships
    • Gaming marketing and agency services
    • Gaming IP and media monetization
    • Events and tournaments
    • Content and creator-led activations
  • Develop strong relationships with global brands, gaming publishers, media companies, and platform partners.
  • Identify new business and product opportunities and strategic partnerships to accelerate market growth.
Gaming IP & Ecosystem Development
  • Oversee the growth and expansion of flagship gaming IPs such as the company’s college gaming league, scaling participation, viewership, and brand engagement.
  • Lead the creation of new gaming and entertainment IPs targeting different segments of the Indian gaming audience.
  • Drive innovation across campus gaming, influencer tournaments, and entertainment formats.
Agency & Marketing Leadership
  • Lead the growth of the company’s gaming marketing agency division.
  • Build strong partnerships with leading brands and game publishers seeking to engage India’s gaming audience.
  • Oversee the development of creative campaigns, influencer marketing, gaming activations, and branded content initiatives.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team across strategy, sales, marketing, operations, and partnerships.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Implement best-in-class operational processes and performance frameworks, including OKRs and performance metrics.
Industry & Market Leadership
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key stakeholder engagements.
  • Build strong relationships with platform partners, game publishers, creators, brands, and esports organizations.
  • Act as a thought leader in India’s gaming, esports, and digital entertainment ecosystem.
