About This Opportunity



We are seeking an accomplished Packet Core Optimization Lead at the Specialist level to join our performance management team in Noida, India. Reporting to the Performance Manager, you will spearhead performance improvement initiatives across our core network infrastructure in a managed services environment. This role requires a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and offers the opportunity to drive strategic optimization across 2G, 4G, LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and Cloud technologies. You will combine deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities to deliver exceptional results in an evolving telecom landscape.




What You Will Do



  • Lead performance improvement delivery activities and strategic initiatives within well-defined system support guidelines and processes (MSTOP)
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot core network nodes (MSC, GMSC, MGW, SGSN, GGSN, MME, PGW, SGW, EPDG, AAA, AMF, SMF, NRF, SCP, UDM) across Ericsson and Nokia platforms
  • Conduct comprehensive capacity analysis and provide optimization recommendations
  • Analyze and develop improvement strategies for critical PS and 5GSA-related KPIs
  • Lead technical discussions focused on network performance enhancement and provide actionable recommendations
  • Execute ICR (Inter-Carrier Routing) planning and optimization at Ericsson and Nokia nodes
  • Support LTE/5GSA configuration and troubleshooting activities
  • Mentor team members and ensure adherence to correct work methodologies to prevent network outages
  • Collaborate closely with NPI, project, and circle planning teams to align optimization objectives
  • Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and core protocols in all activities
  • Stay current with emerging technologies including 5GSA and Cloud infrastructure

The Skills You Bring



  • 8-15+ years of comprehensive experience in telecom core networks across multiple domains
  • Proven expertise with core nodes spanning CS and PS networks, with hands-on experience at Ericsson and Nokia
  • Deep knowledge of GSM, LTE, VoLTE, IMS, VoWiFi, and 5GSA technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
  • Expert-level understanding of GSM, LTE, VoLTE, and 5GSA architectures and call flows
  • Advanced knowledge of signaling protocols and interfaces (SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SIP)
  • Comprehensive understanding of core network interfaces and service awareness concepts
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting core performance KPIs with ability to develop improvement plans
  • Strong grasp of service performance indicators and charging-related concepts
  • In-depth product knowledge of Ericsson and Nokia systems
  • Advanced capacity analysis capabilities
  • Expertise in latest technologies—5GSA and Cloud platforms
