Job Title - Lead Control & Instrumentation – Design engineer


Location - Pune, India


Role Summary


Review and ensure compliance of C&I design and engineering documents prepared by EPC contractor and OEMs for a 200 MW combined cycle power plant, including plant systems and 225 kV switchyard/power evacuation system.


Key Responsibilities


Review C&I design documents for GT, HRSG, ST, BOP, water cooling systems, and electrical interfaces.


Review DCS, PLC, SIS/ESD, F&G, SCADA system architecture and control philosophy.


Ensure compliance with project specifications, IEC/IEEE/ISA standards, and grid code requirements.


Review P&IDs, control logic, cause & effect, I/O lists, instrument data sheets, and alarm philosophy.


Review C&I interfaces with electrical systems, generator protection, excitation, and 225 kV switchyard SCADA.


Review control and protection philosophy for 225 kV switchyard and transmission line.


Coordinate with EPC and OEMs to resolve design comments and interface issues.


Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover documentation.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation / Control / Electrical / Electronic Engineering.


8–15 years' experience in combined cycle or large thermal power projects.


Experience as Owner's Engineer / PMC / Engineering review role preferred.
