Airbus India is looking for a Propulsion Configuration Management Engineer to join our Configuration Management & DMU Integration Team. Within the overall framework, Propulsion Configuration Management involves driving the Aircraft change process initiated by design modifications from Airbus or Engine OEMs.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor/ Master Degree in Aerospace, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.



  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Propulsion / Cabin / Airframe Engineering, Configuration Management. Design experience in Propulsion, Pylons, Nacelles, Airframe , Cabin, Systems (ESI/MSI) will be an added advantage.




Technical Skills:



  • Propulsion Engineering - System Integration / System Installation / Structural Design activities related to Aircraft Engines, Pylons, Nacelles



  • Design Experience on Wing - Pylon - Engine Integration will be an added advantage 



  • Airframe Engineering - Electrical or Mechanical System Installation OR Structural Design



  • Exposure to Airframe Specific Design Activities (Systems OR Structural) 



  • Aircraft Cabin Customization Engineering / Cabin Module development / Cabin upgrades



  • Aircraft Configuration management



  • Awareness on Aircraft change process like MOD Process, TRSs, Change Requests, DQNs would be an advantage



  • Awareness on overall Aircraft development process / product development cycles (PDRs, CDRs etc)



  • DMU understanding and navigation of Product Structure with clear understanding.



  • Knowledge on Aircraft build process // Good understanding of Aircraft Function, Operation & Processes.



  • Experience in handling PDM/VPM tools and linking to CAD models with a design-in-context environment.



  • Excellent Project Management & stakeholder Management skills to drive the performance KPIs & improvements proactively.



  • Awareness of Airbus processes & methods would be an added advantage.



  • Exposure to Design and Archiving tools




Soft skills:



  • Very good communication and presentation skills



  • Excellent Project Management & stakeholder Management skills - Experience working with Commercial Aircraft Engine Manufacturers would be an added advantage



  • Ability to demonstrate effectiveness in holding conversations with customers and customer-centric outreach.



  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and requirements.



  • Demonstrate agility and autonomy in a transnational environment.



  • Demonstrate ability to work as a team in a highly collaborative environment.



  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse specialists & experts.



  • Ability to lead in an environment of constant change involving multiple internal processes.



  • Subcontracting management and working with extended teams would be an added advantage.




Responsibilities:



  • The jobholder will be responsible for driving change management within the Propulsion Engineering perimeter at Airbus. Person will be closely working with different design offices at Airbus (Airframe, wing, pylon & Nacelle etc), Risk Sharing Partners & Engine Manufacturers to drive engineering changes / MODs towards closure. 



  • Network & liaise with a broad range of Propulsion, Airframe, Systems and Cabin Design Offices and Program functions to take the Aircraft modification process to successful closure - On time, On cost and on quality



  • Propose and implement Improvement & Innovation to make existing processes leaner, digitization ideas through new ways of working.



  • Able to influence without authority and work across divisions and organizations



  • Willing to travel internationally and work in a multi-cultural environment on a need basis.
