The CMMS Engineer is part of the Reliability and Integrity organization within the Chevron ENGINE center.This role requires a person with strong experience in administering SAP S/4 HANA CMMS systems master data management and work process management within refinery/ petrochemical, LNG, or oil & gas facilities. The individual must be able to take direction from the CMMS Lead and work collaboratively with global teams. The role must have a good understanding of maintenance and engineering processes and field practices and be able to relate these to CMMS functions. The role must also have very proficient data manipulation, analysis skills and problem-solving skills as well as experience working within an integrated ERP environment collaboratively with global teams.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Experience with large-scale S/4HANA digital transformation projects. Strong knowledge of SAP S4/HANA Asset Management, CMMS Master data and digital core systems.


  • Maintain and govern asset management data across CMMS and related digital platforms.


  • Experience in redesigning SAP structural list by understanding processes and the P&ID for each asset. Experience in creating asset register/Tag register from different engineering documents


  • Strong knowledge in maintenance foundation build from scratch is required.


  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions. SAP master data update requests from all different stakeholders in our buisness(Preservation, FE, Mainteance core crew, Asset integrity,IT etc...)


  • Supports awareness of Operations, Maintenance, and technical data management functions necessary to fulfil Add/Change/Delete requirements including taxonomy and naming convention aligned to Equipment Data Management standards.


  • SAP master data admin - PM and cataloguing experience: Update/Create/Delete of PMs / Maintenance plan/Maintenance item/Task list/Functional location/Equipment/Measuring point/Classification/ WorkCentre


  • Experience in material cataloguing, Doc to tag linking, Metadata capturing


  • Create / Update our Bill of Material (BOM) for each equipment & link to Technical object


  • Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and best practices


  • Support digital core projects, including design, build, and handoff sessio


  • Provide data analysis and insights to improve operational efficiency.


  • Responsible for ensuring record management best practices are being used to maintain and sustain the integrity and accessibility of compliance, safety, reliability, and integrity related asset data.


  • Data /Template preparation as per SAP MDG-EAM master data domains.


  • Metadata Management: Maintain and update metadata fields in the Master Deliverables Register


  • Correspondence Management: Process all incoming and outgoing project correspondence efficiently


  • Status Reporting: Generate and submit accurate status reports at required intervals.


  • Assist in developing simple data workflows and automation for routine tasks


  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.


  • Support the Chevron Asset Performance Management processes for Chevron complex facilities.


Required Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering


  • 5 to 10 years of hands on experience in SAP S/4 HANA CMMS systems master data management and work process management within refinery/ Petrochemical, LNG, or oil & gas facilities


  • Working knowledge of analysis tool like Power BI, MS Access


Preferred Qualification:


  • Good understanding of maintenance and engineering processes and field practices and be able to relate these to CMMS functions.


  • Very proficient in data manipulation and analysis skills as well as experience working within an integrated ERP environment.


  • Experience with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability within Industrial Complex Processing Facilities. LNG, Refining Petrochemical, Offshore Platform assets.


  • Expertise in data manipulation and analysis using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI/PowerQuery, and SQL.


  • Strong knowledge of SAP Asset Management and digital core systems.


  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.


  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


  • Proficiency in data analysis tools.


  • Experience with large-scale S/4HANA digital transformation projects.


Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
