This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 6000000 - Rs 10000000 (ie INR 60 - 100 LPA) Min Experience: 10 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology vision and execution in a fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) apparel business.
This role is ideal for a tech leader who thrives at the intersection of digital strategy, consumer experience, and scalable technology platforms.
You will be responsible for building and optimizing our digital ecosystem, driving innovation, and enabling business growth through technology.
Key Responsibilities: Define and execute the company’s technology roadmap aligned with D2C business goals and digital strategy.
Lead end-to-end development and scaling of e-commerce platforms, mobile applications, and customer-facing digital experiences.
Architect robust, scalable, and secure systems to support high-growth apparel operations, including inventory, order management, and customer engagement.
Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences.
Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering and technology team.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all digital platforms.
Evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions for personalization, recommendations, demand forecasting, and operational efficiency (good to have).
Stay updated with industry trends in D2C, apparel, and retail technology to maintain a competitive edge.
Must Have Skills: Strong experience in D2C business models and consumer-focused digital platforms.
Proven expertise in digital strategy , including customer journey optimization, performance marketing tech integration, and data-driven decision-making.
Solid understanding of the apparel industry , including supply chain nuances, SKU complexity, and seasonal trends.
Hands-on experience with modern web and mobile technologies, cloud infrastructure, and scalable architecture.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with measurable impact.
Good to Have Skills: Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.
g., Shopify, Magento, or custom-built systems).
Exposure to AI/ML applications in retail, such as personalization engines, chatbots, or predictive analytics.
Background in retail apparel technology , including integrations with ERP, CRM, and logistics systems.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10–20 years of progressive experience in technology roles, with at least some leadership exposure.
Prior experience in a startup or high-growth D2C environment is highly preferred.
