1. Coordinate with the Brakes COE and validation teams to support brake system development and testing programs.
2. Involvement in DFMEA during product development
3. Prepare and execute DVP / DVPR plans based on design changes, material changes, supplier changes, and validation requirements.
4. Plan and manage brake test schedules, bench allocation, and resource planning in coordination with vehicle development and program teams.
5. Lead test readiness reviews, ensure availability of test fixtures, instrumentation, and complete test sign‑off prior to execution.
6.Execute and technically supervise brake dynamometer testing including NVH, performance, fade, recovery, wear, drag, thermal, and durability tests for disc and drum brake systems.
7. Fixture preparation, Instrumentation, data acquisition and conducting tests as per standards
8. Identify abnormal trends, failures, and deviations during testing to guide root cause investigation, confirmation tests, and corrective action validation
9. Generate structured test reports with plots, observations, conclusions, and compliance status, and share results with relevant stakeholders
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to brake performance and NVH test procedures, automation, reporting quality, and lab efficiency
11. Maintain test documentation, test logs, and purchase records related to brake testing activities and lab requirements.
12. Take end‑to‑end ownership of brake test bench ensuring operational reliability, instrumentation health, and safe operation during high‑energy and NVH test
13. Support calibration and preventive maintenance activities for dynamometer systems, sensors, DAQ channels, and NVH measurement equipment.
14. Ensure strict adherence to safety standards during high‑energy brake testing and promote safe working practices in the test lab
