Position

Case Writer (Consultant)

Purpose

Case Writer to work with faculty and industry experts to create and publish India-centric cases in the field of Real Estate. 

A well-written case uses a real-world setup to expose students to nuances or holistic learning that would be hard to teach using standard lecture pedagogy.  These cases shall be used in our MBA and executive education program classrooms.

Job Type and Duration

A Consultant full time role, the engagement would be for a period of one-year, extendable based on performance and institute’s requirement.

Principal Accountabilities& Responsibilities

• Work closely with faculty on scope, approach and writing of cases. Provide leverage to faculty interested in writing India-centric cases in real estate through research, data collection, literature review etc.   

  
  

• Take responsibility for designing and creating cases, end to end.   Each case includes the descriptive part meant for the students as well as the teaching note meant for the instructing faculty.

  
  

• Identify, collect, and organize primary and secondary data needed for cases.

  
  

• Take ownership of all administrative requirements, including getting approvals from stakeholders, getting cases processed through IIMB’s internal systems, ensuring compliance with HBS or other global case repository requirements etc.

  
  

Qualificationand Personal Profile

• PhD holders in any discipline (OR) 

  
  

• Master's Degree holders in the field of Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Engineering, Design, etc. (OR)

  
  

• Bachelor’s Degree holders in Engineering, Technology, Architecture or Design, with an exceptional academic record (AND)

  
  

• Proven track record of academic writing through cases and/or thesis work

  
  

Ideal Candidate

• PhD holders looking to publish and sharpen their focus

  
  

• Master’s Degree holders who wish to pursue PhDs in the coming years (OR)

  
  

• Master’s Degree holders with 3-5 years of experience in the Industry or Academia, wishing to grow in their careers as Specialists, Deep-dive Analysts, ideating leaders, etc.
