Role Responsibilities:
Ensure supply continuity to enable manufacturing with speed and quality. Follow-up on orders, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records.Adhere to standard purchasing business processes
Proactively drive and ensure timely delivery/shipment of parts from supplier to Applied factories, including resolution of shipment/receiving and billing issues with supplier
Partner with suppliers on demand/supply collaboration. Execute and manage pull-ins/push-outs with suppliers to meet MRP demand
Drive inventory and E&Z reduction efforts
Negotiate and execute purchase and RFQ to drive the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need, with support from more experienced buyer
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, Program Managers) to resolve supply issue
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Up to 1 year of related experience
Basic understanding of material cost management, shortage management, supplier capability, purchase order management and other materials/equipment buying processes
