Who we are looking for:


We are looking for an experienced first‑line risk manager to join the GD BRM organization and support the Custody business line.
The Business‑Aligned (BUA) Lead in Partnership with other BUA Risk Leads works closely with GD BRM pillar teams to promote a unified #OneBRM approach, support strategic change initiatives, strengthen the control environment, and drive sustained progress toward “Path to Green.”


What you will be responsible for:


As Business‑Aligned Risk Officer you will play a pivotal role in:


Business Risk Partnership


  • Act as the primary risk partner for assigned GD Business Units, maintaining strong, ongoing engagement with business.
  • Elevate risk discussions by identifying emerging risks, encouraging challenge, and linking risk management to business outcomes.
  • Capture, monitor, and escalate business concerns through appropriate governance forums.

Risk & Control Oversight


  • Support the embedding of the GD risk and control ecosystem into business‑as‑usual activities, including self‑testing and technology‑enabled risk solutions.
  • Partner with BRM pillar teams to identify control gaps and support remediation plans.
  • Support audits and examinations, working with the business to close findings and achieve a satisfactory control environment.

Strategic Change & Risk Integration


  • Provide guidance and constructive challenge to ensure changes are integrated into the risk and control framework.
  • Assess and communicate the impact of change initiatives on the overall risk posture of the business.

Collaboration & #OneBRM Culture


  • Work closely with other Business‑Aligned Representatives and BRM pillar teams to align priorities and share emerging themes.
  • Promote a unified #OneBRM voice through consistent messaging and collaboration.

Education & Preferred Qualifications


Experience


  • 12–15 years of experience in risk management, controls, audit, or business‑aligned risk roles, preferably within a large, complex operational or Global Delivery environment.
  • Proven experience partnering with business stakeholders and influencing outcomes.

Risk & Control Expertise


  • Strong understanding of operational risk, control frameworks, and the three lines of defense.
  • Experience supporting audits, issue remediation, and control environment improvements.
  • Ability to assess risk impacts from business change and technology initiatives.

Leadership & Stakeholder Skills


  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge constructively while maintaining trusted relationships.
  • Clear, confident communicator able to translate risk concepts into business‑relevant language.
