About the team:
This position is for our OPF team. FIS Open Payment Framework (OPF) within the Global Testing Chapter.
The Global Testing Chapter is a cross‑regional quality engineering community responsible for defining and evolving common testing standards, practices, and capabilities across Enterprise Payments. The team drives excellence across functional testing, automation, metrics, and emerging areas such as AI in QA, while supporting consistent delivery outcomes across regions. It operates as a collaborative chapter model—balancing hands‑on project delivery with continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and capability uplift across the global testing workforce.
The project targeted for this role will be EMEA clients.
What you will be doing:
Assist in improving testing processes.
Leading testing engagements and managing a small team of QA’s
Work with the Delivery Manager and Project Manager to ensure testing deliverables at completed within a specific timeframe.
Managing internal and external stakeholders.
Managing and driving defect triage meetings.
Assist and mentor junior team members.
Drive automation testing improvements and enhancements.
Develop, maintain and upgrade manual and automated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test tools required to execute test cases.
Perform functional and automated testing on end-to-end payment systems.
Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
Controls and manages own daily test activities.
Organizes and maintains the test script library.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
Raise clear and detailed defects in Jira.
Work with various stakeholders to provide information and push the defects to a closed state.
What you bring:
Minimum 9 to 12 years of related experience in QA / software testing space.
Minimum 10 years of Automated testing experience for both UI and API test cases.
Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
Experience in extending and improving existing automation frameworks.
Experience with multiple API automation test tool (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, SOAPUI, cucumber, etc)
Experience with multiple UI automation (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot framework, etc)
Hands on automation test development experience with at least 1 scripting / coding language(Java, Python, C#, Javascript, etc)
Ability to debug automated test cases to derive the failure root cause.
Experience using source control (GIT, SVN)
Experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale test management tool.
Experience preparing test cases and test plans with an automation mentality.
Ability to provide testing estimates.
Experience using CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, AzureDevops) to
Experience with cloud and container tools (AWS, Kubernetes, etc)
Navigate automation builds.
Investigating automation build issues.
Ability to manage a team of QA’s when required
