Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing processes through automation, ensuring high-quality software products. The successful candidate will contribute to the organization’s business objectives by developing reliable automation frameworks, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement in testing practices.


Software Requirements


  • Required:


    • Playwright (latest stable version) with hands-on experience


    • Programming languages: JavaScript or TypeScript


    • Version control systems: Git


    • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
       


  • Preferred:


    • Selenium, Appium, or TestNG (for diversified testing needs)


    • Test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)


    • Other automation tools or frameworks as applicable


Overall Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing scripts using Playwright to validate web applications


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers and business analysts to identify testing requirements and translate them into automated tests


  • Write comprehensive test plans, test cases, and detailed bug reports to support quality assurance efforts


  • Contribute to code reviews ensuring adherence to best practices and automation standards


  • Participate in continuous learning initiatives to stay current with emerging testing automation tools, practices, and trends
