Position Overview:

Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) is based in Bangalore, India and is engaged in the development of advanced aerospace and aviation technologies and software products. 




The Associate Project Management Specialist supports the successful delivery of projects in alignment with business objectives, ensuring execution on time, within budget, and to required standards. This role supports project planning, coordination, deliverable management, and performance monitoring to help achieve program objectives. This role will be based out of Chennai India.




Position Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans and schedules to support program scope, milestones and commitments.



  • Partner with cross-functional teams and leadership to support project execution and decision-making.



  • Monitor project performance through trend, variance and risk analysis.



  • Identify risks, issues, opportunities, highlight dependencies and support mitigation and recovery planning.



  • Monitor and manage project scope, schedule, and cost in accordance with triple constraint principles to support successful project delivery.



  • Support project monitor and control, process improvements and supplier coordination to achieve milestone commitments.



  • Ensure safety and quality requirements are incorporated into project planning and execution.



  • Support effective resource management and stakeholder engagement to enable successful project outcomes.




Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):



  • 5+ years of experience leading and executing projects in support of stakeholder objectives and schedule commitments



  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace software development, testing, and maintenance across the full lifecycle, in compliance with applicable industry, customer, safety and regulatory requirements



  • 3+ years of experience managing medium to highly complex projects with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, test, and supplier organizations



  • 3+ years of experience in risk, issue, and opportunity management



  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining integrated, resource-loaded project schedules using tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Primavera, Power BI, Tableau etc..




Required Skills
  • Strong communication skills with technical and cross-functional teams



  • Experience supporting distributed teams and complex project environments



  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate project activities, resources, and deliverables



  • Working knowledge of project management principles, including scope, schedule, risk and critical path management



  • Ability to lead assigned work, resolve issues and support successful project execution



  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with customers, stakeholders and partners



  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, adapt quickly and perform under pressure



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for reporting, presentations, and documentation




Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):



  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required (Computer Science or Information Technology or engineering degree or MBA).



  • Experience leading complex, large-scale projects



  • Knowledge of project management best practices and processes



  • Understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle approaches



  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO) and related project management tools



  • Product owner skills with technical knowledge in software domain and configuration management tools like Jira, confluence, Jama Contour etc…



  • Working knowledge of SAFe practices, including PI planning and CI/CD pipelines



  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments



  • Analytical skills with proficiency in reporting tools such as Power BI and Tableau




Typical Education & Experience
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 to 8 years' related work experience or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
