We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with a passion for industrial data and analytics. This role focuses on developing robust data pipelines and analytics solutions for time-series data generated from heating, refrigeration, and process equipment. You will play a key role in transforming raw industrial data into actionable insights, supporting digital product development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (batch & streaming) with a focus on time-series data from heating, refrigeration, and process equipment
Develop and operationalize advanced analytics workflows by integrating data from multiple industrial and enterprise sources
Work closely with Data Analysts and Digital Product teams to enable data-driven product features and insights
Contribute to and enhance the GEA Cloud Analytics Platform in collaboration with the Digital Hub
Ensure high data quality, reliability, and performance across pipelines and platforms
Apply modern software engineering practices (version control, CI/CD, code reviews)
Actively participate in the Data Engineering / Data Science Guild to drive knowledge sharing and standardization
Build reusable, modular, and efficient data solutions using state-of-the-art tools
Your Profile / Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
2–5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
Strong experience in building robust and scalable data pipelines
Hands-on experience with Spark / Databricks or similar big data frameworks
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience handling time-series data, industrial IoT, or real-time analytics (highly preferred)
Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development
Strong communication skills with fluency in English
