Job Title Associate - Commercial Pharma Analytics

Introduction to thte role


Serve as the analytical expert for global brand teams, delivering actionable insights that shape strategic and operational decisions. Acting as a hands-on consultant, this role designs and implements commercial analytics solutions, using both syndicated and custom data for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analysis. Day to day, this includes data procurement, development of advanced analytics for business opportunity assessments, customer segmentation and targeting, return on investment and resource allocation analyses, market simulations, and patient flow modeling. Working closely with Global/US Insights, Analytics & Forecasting, as well as Global Marketing and Market Access teams, this position helps influence key business outcomes and unlocks new opportunities to move the needle for patients and the business.


Accountabilities

Drive end-to-end commercial analytics projects that inform global brand strategy, from problem framing and data sourcing through to insight generation and recommendation.


Leverage global pharma data sources such as IQVIA MIDAS, Evaluate Pharma, Clarivate, Oracle and RWE assets to build robust market views and opportunity assessments.


Apply advanced analytical techniques to support customer segmentation, targeting, forecasting inputs, resource allocation and scenario planning.


Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in tools such as PowerBI to enable rapid decision-making across markets and functions.


Translate complex analyses into clear, concise narratives and executive-ready presentations that influence senior collaborators.


Partner with cross-functional teams to embed insights into brand planning, launch excellence, pricing and market access strategies.


Continuously experiment with new methods, AI tools and data assets to enhance analytical impact and speed of delivery.


Promote knowledge sharing across the analytics community, standardizing procedures and encouraging re-use of scalable solutions.


Monitor external trends in analytics, data science and healthcare to anticipate future needs and propose innovative ways.


Champion an entrepreneurial perspective by spotting opportunities, taking balanced risks and challenging existing ways of working.


Essential Skills/Experience

Quantitative bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science or Data Science. A Masters or equivalent degree is preferred


Strong technical skills with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint), PowerBI, SQL, PySpark, Python and AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.)


Strong written and oral English communication skills and collaborator management skills, with evidence of synthesizing and articulating complex data / analyses into understandable and impactful presentations


Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where answers are expected quickly, building self-credibility, managing expectations, and driving outcomes


Knowledge of US and ex-US (focus on EU4, UK, Japan, China) pharmaceutical market size/value and volume (prescriptions, units), brand and indication vs. molecule performance by country/region (pricing and reimbursement, launch timelines and regulatory landmarks


Must have excellent analytical, independent problem-solving ability and able to grasp new concepts quickly


Actively engages in discussions, clarifies information, and advocates the team’s point of view


Good experience in applying statistical procedures on large and disparate datasets including foundational level knowledge in regression, Bayesian methods, data mining, optimization, and simulation


Proficiency in manipulating and extracting insights from large longitudinal data sources, such as Claims, EMR and other patient-level data sets


Ability to quickly derive, summarize and communicate insights from analyses.


Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to deliver insightful analyses and executive-level presentations


Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal English, including effective remote collaborator engagement across diverse geographies and cultures, as well as synthesizing findings for executive-level presentations


Desirable Skills/Experience

Expertise in managing and analyzing a range of large, secondary transactional databases is required.
