Job Summary


As an Associate, APAC Payroll within the APAC Payroll team, you will be responsible for managing multi-country payroll operations and promoting process automation and improvement initiatives.


Job responsibilities


  • Be a self-motivated and result-oriented individual 
  • Maintain deadlines, quality, knowledge, communication, data privacy, control procedures and continuous improvement on performance standards in a multi-country payroll environment
  • Excellent organization & time management skills. Should exercise good judgment in prioritizing deliverables 
  • Interact closely with Payroll/Offboarding vendors to ensure timely and accurate service delivery
  • Co-ordinate with all stakeholders including all HR teams for business needs
  • Ownership of process, knowledge documents, and team performance and development
  • Interact closely with vendors & other process partners to identify automation opportunities in current business processes and develop appropriate technology solutions
  • Drive & encourage process improvement opportunities
  • Strong execution skills

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Graduate with 6+ years of Operations experience in Payroll, Benefits, or Taxation, including 4+ years in Automation, Robotics, or Business Process Analysis with a proven track record of process improvement and automation projects
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP Payroll or other payroll processing ERPs.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced formulas and Macros.
  • Experience developing and designing current state and future state process maps.
  • Exposure to process improvement tools and people/process management.
  • Experience in testing Intelligent Automation (IA) and AI-driven payroll solutions.
  • Ability to validate automated workflows, rule engines, and exception handling processes.
  • Knowledge of test case development for robotic process automation (RPA) in payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of regression testing methodologies for payroll system upgrades.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify system defects, data inconsistencies, and process gaps.
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate critical issues appropriately.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Knowledge of multinational payroll/accounting and project management skills.
  • Experience with RPA and RDA project delivery, including defect logging, tracking, and resolution coordination.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, train, and support others, and collaborate effectively with Product Management and Technology teams.
  • Detail-oriented and creative thinker with the ability to critically analyze processes, identify repetitive/rules-driven components, and gather, document, and validate complex payroll transformation requirements.
