As an ‘Assistant Engineer – Roads Drainage’, you'll have experience in the Highways Sector to join our ‘UK GCC Roads’ team in Noida / Bengaluru. Responsibilities:
  • You will be working and supporting a range of highways schemes associated with highway drainage elements
  • You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
  • You will be working and supporting a range of highway drainage schemes.
  • You will be working closely with the lead design engineer or work package manager to develop design solutions in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • You will read and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures for Health and Safety including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual.
  • Support lead engineers in technical checking and design reviews
  • It is most desirable if the candidate has basic experience of AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroDrainage or alternative software.

Key Competencies / Skills:


Mandatory Skills 


  • You should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and experience of UK highway drainage including knowledge on SUDS features.
  • You will be working closely with the lead design engineer or work package manager to develop design solutions in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • You will be expected to play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
  • Basic knowledge in Highway drainage, Storm water drainage as per UK standards
  • Proficient in use of HADDMS
  • Proficient in use of standard MS Office software
  • Confidence to seek clarification of instructions and work scope
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding and working knowledge of UK standards
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD and aptitude to develop in Civils3D

Desired Skills


  • Highway drainage solutions and basic knowledge
  • MicroDrainage / CausewayFlow software, desired at least with basic to medium level.
  • Familiarisation with DMRB codes
  • Use of CAD and Civil 3D software, desired at least with medium level. 

Qualifications:
  • B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with good length of relevant experience. 
  • M.Tech in Hydraulics & Water Resources Engineering or equivalent will be given preference. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Highway drainage and Storm water drainage.
