Black & Grey HR is seeking an Assistant Architect for a leading construction company specialized in high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating BIM models, preparing architectural and structural shop drawings, ensuring model accuracy, and supporting project execution through effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models for architectural and structural disciplines in accordance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project standards.
- Produce Revit models from IFC and tender documents while coordinating with Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Prepare and update architectural and structural shop drawings, including General Arrangement (GA), slabs, beams, columns, walls, block work, false ceiling, flooring, and wall finish drawings.
- Extract CAD drawings, PDFs, DWFs, and IFC files from BIM models as required.
- Update BIM models and shop drawings based on RFIs, CVIs, design revisions, and consultant comments.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project standards, quality requirements, and Level of Development (LOD) specifications.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to identify clashes and resolve design discrepancies.
- Coordinate with consultants, engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and support project execution.
- Prepare detailed drawings, reference drawings, element coding, and technical sketches as required.
- Assist the QS team with material quantities, drawing revisions, and project variations.
- Support site teams with technical clarifications, site visits, and timely resolution of construction issues.
- Manage engineering document submissions through project document management systems (e.g., Asite).
- Prepare RFIs, CVIs, and updated drawings/models based on consultant feedback.
- Participate in coordination meetings and ensure timely delivery of BIM deliverables.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch).
- 3–5 years of experience as a BIM Architect/BIM Modeler with a main contracting company.
- Mandatory experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use building projects.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Working knowledge of SketchUp is an advantage.
- Good understanding of BIM workflows, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), ISO 19650, and LOD standards.
- Experience preparing architectural and structural shop drawings.
- Understanding of construction sequencing, site coordination, and engineering documentation.
- Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Willingness to conduct site visits and work closely with project and site teams.
