Job Summary**
Oversee and optimize all aspects of the assembly process at Jabil, Inc., ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of assembly supervisors and production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Develop, implement, Review and maintain effective assembly processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
* Monitor production schedules and output, ensuring timely completion of orders and meeting production targets.
* Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain departments to optimize product design for manufacturability and resolve material-related challenges.
* Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety throughout the assembly operations.
* Manage departmental budget, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Implement and utilize lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational performance.
* Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and support professional development for the assembly team.
* Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality performance, and operational efficiency to senior management.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 12-18 years of progressive experience in manufacturing assembly, with at least 5-8 years in a leadership or management role.
* Proven track record of success in optimizing assembly processes and improving production efficiency.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
* Proficiency in production planning software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
* Solid understanding of quality control standards and practices (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
* Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts as needed to meet production demands.
