DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Area Sales Manager , where you'll grow revenue through strategic sales of advanced scientific instruments and solutions. You'll develop and manage key customer relationships across diverse markets including Academia & research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, Healthcare and industrial sectors. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll identify opportunities, create customized solutions, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical expertise with relationship building to help our customers make breakthrough discoveries and improve efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree with minimum 5 years OR Masters Degree with minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in scientific instruments or analytical equipment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Electronics, or Instrumentation
• Relevant professional certifications a plus
• Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
• Strong technical understanding of Scientific instrumentation and applications
• Excellent relationship building and account management skills with both direct customers and channel partners
• Proficiency in CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and large capital equipment deals
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel up to 80% within assigned territory
• Business level English proficiency required
• Experience with public and private sector procurement processes
• Knowledge of competitor products and market dynamics
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization
