Social Media Team Apprentice


As a Social Media Apprentice within State Street Investment Management, you will support the global social media team in executing organic and paid social campaigns across platforms. This role will provide hands-on exposure to marketing processes, social tools, and campaign execution in a regulated financial services environment. You will be part of a global team, and your tasks will include:


  • Support execution of organic and paid social campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, etc.)


  • Help manage content calendars and coordinate campaign timelines with internal stakeholders


  • Learn and support the use of social media tools (publishing, listening, analytics, compliance workflows)


  • Assist in tracking campaign performance and compiling basic reports on engagement and reach


  • Partner with design and content teams to create assets


  • Support quality checks to ensure posts meet brand, compliance, and platform guidelines


  • Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices, especially within financial services


Education and experience requirements


  • Graduate or above (Marketing, Communications, or related fields preferred)


  • 0–12 months of experience or internship exposure in social media


  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, digital content, and social media platforms


  • Interest in financial markets / asset management industry preferred


This position requires:


  • Strong written and oral communication skills


  • Fluent spoken and written English (non-negotiable)


  • Ability to articulate clear, concise, and platform-appropriate social media copy


  • Basic understanding of how social platforms function (content formats, engagement, trends)


  • Keen interest in learning marketing processes and campaign execution


  • Strong attention to detail, especially in content reviews and quality checks


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn


  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams


  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with social tools is a plus
