Role: ServiceNow Developer (Now Assist)

Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated and technically strong ServiceNow Developer to support the design, development, configuration, and enhancement of ServiceNow solutions across enterprise environments. The role focuses on hands on development, platform configuration, module support, and integrations while adhering to best practices and governance standards defined by senior architects.
This role is ideal for developers who want to deepen their ServiceNow expertise, work across multiple modules, and gradually grow toward solution and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Configuration
• Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications using Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer
• Configure and enhance standard ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, SecOps, SPM, or App Engine
• Support data management activities including import sets, transforms, and CMDB data quality
Solution Support & Enhancements
• Work on enhancement requests, bug fixes, and platform improvements based on business requirements
• Assist in implementing platform standards such as CSDM, CMDB normalization, and naming conventions
• Collaborate with architects and senior developers on solution designs and technical approaches
Integrations & Automation
• Develop and support integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub spokes
• Build workflows and automation using Flow Designer and low code/no code capabilities
• Assist with SSO and user authentication configurations under guidance (SAML, OAuth basics)
Testing, Deployment & Agile Delivery
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand ups, and retrospectives
• Create and execute unit tests and Automated Test Framework (ATF) test cases
• Support CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices for deployments
Documentation & Collaboration
• Prepare technical documentation, solution notes, and configuration guides
• Collaborate with cross functional teams including QA, operations, and product owners
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and continuous platform improvement initiatives

Qualifications
• 4–7 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands on ServiceNow development
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture and scripting (JavaScript)
• Experience working with at least one core module: ITSM, CMDB, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps
• Familiarity with CSDM concepts, CMDB relationships, and discovery basics
• Understanding of Agile delivery models and ServiceNow SDLC
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team based environment

Preferred Skills & Exposure
• Hands on experience with Service Catalog, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub
• Basic exposure to Now Assist / GenAI features (usage or configuration level is a plus, not mandatory)
• Experience supporting multi instance environments (Dev / Test / Prod)
• Industry exposure to Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, or HR systems

• ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Administrator)
• CAD (Certified Application Developer) or working toward it
• Micro certifications such as:
