Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Should have a fair understanding of SWIFT messages (MT103, MT202), FED payments, Internal Transfers, and FX transactions.
  • Knowledge of global banking codes and payment systems such as ABA, Sort Code, BSB, BIC, IBAN, RTGS, NEFT, and other cash settlement methods.
  • Prior experience working in a manual payments/wires environment, with clear understanding of end-to-end payment flows.
  • Ability to interpret Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) and identify missing or incorrect details.
  • Perform fund-related vendor payment invoice verification and execute payments using banking portals.
  • Verify custody and fund-related bank invoices.
  • Handle payments related to subscriptions and redemptions.
  • Monitor shared payment mailboxes and prioritise payments based on currency cut-off times.
  • Support global locations with day-to-day payment processing requirements.
  • Respond to client and local office queries via email and phone.
  • Ensure all daily processing activities are completed and signed off within timelines.
  • Regularly report and escalate issues, exceptions, and blockers to the manager.
  • Work collaboratively as a team player, multitask effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be flexible to work in rotational or extended shifts as per business needs.
  • Prior experience in Payments / Banking / Treasury is an added advantage.
  • Prior Transfer Agency experience will be highly preferred.
Qualification and Experience
  • University degree in B.Com / MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Hedge Funds and Private Equity will be an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with FED payments and SWIFT transactions.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in FX and payment processing, including investigations.
Skills Required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Accountability for meeting client deliverables and timelines.
  • Proficiency in a Windows-based environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate communications.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Strong research, resolution, and communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and resolve issues professionally.
  • Effective presentation, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong self-management, adaptability, resilience, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Motivated, results-oriented, and persistent in achieving performance standards.
  • Innovative and logical thinker with sound decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible to work in any shift as per operational requirements.
  • Prior Transfer Agency processing experience is required.
  • Master’s degree in Commerce is desirable.
